About Karina Rizzo

Karina T. Rizzo is the founder of Karamia Design Group based in Santa Ynez, California. Born in Russia, she immigrated to the United States in 1991 during the political turmoil in the Former Soviet Russia.

Having a science background, Karina was always passionate about history and art. She incorporates design with art and science. According to her philosophy:
-“The house needs to fit the owner spiritually, as well as ergonomically. The negative space should be respected, very well thought out and calculated.
The house should be designed proportionally with scientific scale, where the individual feels comfortable, not out of place” – Karina T. Rizzo

Philosophy

It is the passion in design and creativity and the ability to incorporate clients’ needs with up-to-date technology. Their needs are paramount. Help them to visualize the interior space and design. Our minimalist approach in interior design is based on the Greek Classical perception of design and space – we believe in “no dusting furniture” and helping our clients to achieve their goal by directing their vision. Design has evolved in fortuitous ways over the past decade. It becomes simpler , cleaner and less encumbered. Our goal on every project is to encompass both the practical and emotional elements of design in a sensitive response to the particular environment and circumstances.
